Matthew & Tierra waited nine years to celebrate this day with all their favorite people. They finally became Mr. & Mrs. Bodamer on July 20, 2019, at The Dam Inn, just outside of Saint Mary’s, Pennsylvania. This hidden gem of a venue kind of lies in the middle of nowhere, but from the moment Tierra saw it, she fell in love. She then proceeded to tell me all about it, and from then on, I knew that it was going to be the PERFECT place for their wedding.

Days like Matt & Tierra’s make me so thankful for my career; I am led to the most incredible people because of photography. I have the opportunity to help plan for the BEST day of couples’ lives, then I get a front row seat to all the happy tears, excited anticipation, and overwhelmingly joyful moments. And after it’s all said and done… I walk away with the sweetest, most incredible friendships. (The kind that you dance like crazy to Taylor Swift together, then text back and forth about the Bachelorette two days later.)

I wish I could capture them over and over again; my heart physically hurt at the end of the night when I had to say goodbye to these two. It’s been almost two years since I met them for the first time while shooting Matt’s brother’s wedding. On that day, they swore to me that I’d one day be their wedding photographer, too, and I swore to myself that I’d one day force Tierra into being my best friend! (Seriously you guys. I have the biggest girl crush on her! Hahaha!)

Tierra- you are beautiful, kind, hilarious, hardworking, passionate, and unbelievably joyful. Truly everything I aspire to be in life. And Matt- you’re the reserved, calm, ridiculously intelligent, stupidly athletic, kind-hearted human that every girl hopes for. The two of you balance each other out so perfectly, and I believe with every ounce of my being you were meant for one another. It’s safe to say that you are NEVER, everrrr, everrrr getting rid of me. Like ever. As much as I loved being your wedding photographer, I cherish being your friend even more.

So here’s to a new chapter as Mr. & Mrs…. I can’t wait to see where life takes you both (& sweet Baker May)! Thank you for allowing me to document the beauty of your love. There are truly no words to describe how grateful I am for your existence.
