I'm Hannah B, wedding & portrait photographer based in New York State. I'm a lover of intricate details and story telling- both visually & through writing. Here you will find glimpses of my life as a photographer, wife, dog-lover & Chick fil-A obsessed creative!
Katheryn Berlin and Jake Currie were married on 10.10.20; potentially the most popular wedding date of the decade! They exchanged vows at the SS Peter & Paul Church and celebrated a reception afterward at the Busti Barn, just minutes away from the high school they attended together and the homes they grew up in! After planning their wedding through a worldwide pandemic, it was amazing to finally see their hard work come to fruition!
I don’t think I have EVER shot a day with this much vibrant foliage! The last few years, Western New York has been pretty dull when it comes to its fall colors, but not THIS season! (It’s almost like the Lord knew we needed a small win after everything that’s taken place in 2020!) hahaha! The trees and weather were showing off all day during pictures! The gorgeous forecast, paired with Katy’s color scheme and elegant fall floral design was truly the perfect match!
I’m lucky enough to call Katy & Jake my friends, all thanks to my sweet husband growing up alongside these two! When I showed up to the church to photograph the groomsmen, I realized I already knew every guy that was standing up next to Jake! The best part was that two of the groomsmen were JUST in the wedding I shot two weeks ago. (S/O to you for having impeccable taste in friends, too, Shaunah & Jake Pilling!) We joked all day about how those two guys were officially seasoned vets at this picture taking stuff. I pretty regularly use the terms #HannahBryertonBride and #HannahBryertonGroom in my daily marketing jargon, but who knew that #HannahBryertonGroomsman was going to become a thing as well?! Might as well coin the term #HannahBryertonBridesmaid while I’m at it!
Jake & Katy- you both know how special you are to me! It truly is an indescribable feeling, having the front row seat to every moment at your friends’ wedding! I’m still so humbled you chose me to document it all! From the engagement session in Charleston, SC, to the your incredible autumn wedding day, it has been a wild ride navigating this season of life and wedding planning with you. I’m still so happy for you two; I truly have no words to describe just how special your friends and family are to me! From the bottom of my heart— thank you for welcoming me as one of your own.
After shooting for TWELVE hours on Saturday, these pictures were well worth the sore feet and aching legs that followed. Hoping you enjoy Katy & Jake’s wedding day recap as much as I do!….
These two finished up their slow dance and broke out into a surprise choreographed number. It was SO freaking good, the entire room was cheering them on. Jake may or may not have sacrificed his dress pants for the sake of this dance. (He kept saying he was going to split his pants all day, and after this dance, I completely understood why!) hahaha!
