David & McKenzie celebrated their sunshine-themed wedding at The Harper last weekend and it could not have been a more joy-filled day! Perfectly sunny & 75, surrounded by their family from all over the world (literally— SO many David’s family and friends traveled from the United Kingdom to be here!)… David and Kenzie exchanged hand-written vows and there was not a dry eye in attendance. Their love for each other is so evident and it simply radiated through every moment of their day!

It’s rare that I find a couple who exudes just as much genuine weirdness as I do. (Like a fun, cool level of weird. Not like a creepy, collects toenail clippings as a hobby, kind of weird) From the moment I met Kenzie & David at their engagement session, I knew I was going to freaking love these two. In all honesty, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a couple who laughs more together. They truly bring out the best in each other in every way possible. There were moments during the ceremony where one would subtly shimmy, and the other would dance right back… simply out of excitement that they were about to be husband and wife! I found myself cheesy smiling behind my camera on numerous occasions just watching them; it’s couples like these two that will immediately restore your faith in the world and truly make you believe in the existence of soul mates.

“Sunshine” was the perfect theme for your wedding, because it pretty much encompasses you both as human beings! Joyful, genuine, and so full of love for each other… as well as the entire world around you. I am still so honored you allowed me to document your favorite day ever and I can’t wait for you to relive this joy over and over again. If you decide to have a vow renewal one day (maybe in Scotland this time?!) you can count me in; I’ll be there in a heartbeat. Sending you all my love as you embark on a lifetime of adventures as Mr. & Mrs. Connelly!

THIS. The pastor gave them the opportunity to just YELL in the middle of the ceremony to release their excitement and they both took him up on it. Then in the images below, the was about to announce them husband and wife– Kenzie danced and David shimmied right back. These two… I’m telling you. They’re downright amazing! hahaha!





Whenever my own family is together and we take a picture together… we snap a normal one, followed by a “crazy” one. When I threw out the idea, Kenzie’s family did not skip a beat and immediately struck a pose. It was in that moment I KNEW I was surrounded by my kind of people.




David requested a photo with his new father-in-law. Little did I know, we’d be doing a whole series of portraits of just the two of them. Truthfully, I’m not mad about it… I’m actually crossing my fingers that these images get a whole spread in their final wedding album design.
