Bri & Phil exchanged vows at the beautiful Arbor at the Port in Rochester, New York, over the weekend. I still cannot believe I got to be the one to document their perfect day!

When I first met Brianna and Phil, I was documenting a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic where she was one of the bridesmaids. (Shout to you, Morgan & Joel– we love you!) Anyway, it’s safe to say it was love at first sight between us. I told her she was one of the most beautiful humans I’d ever laid eyes on, and she immediately became my newest girl crush. (Wait until you scroll the blog, you’re about to understand why so soon! hahaha!)

Flash forward three years later, and I got the BEST inquiry in my email inbox asking if I’d be willing to photograph HER wedding. It was probably the fastest “yes” I have ever uttered. In the back of my mind, I had always hoped that one day I’d get to be part of Brianna & Phil’s wedding, too… and sure enough, on August 5, 2023… my dreams became a reality! 

We started out the morning at the most INCREDIBLE airbnb I’ve ever stepped foot in. Truly a photographer’s paradise. Natural light, amazing decor, and endless space to choose from. We then ended the day on Lake Ontario at Arbor at the Port. It was my first time shooting here and the planner, Erika, along with her entire team could not have been any sweeter. There’s nothing I love more than meeting new like-minded industry friends! 

I think I’m going to start a new trend where I list my five favorite things about a wedding so you know what to look for in the blog post as you scroll:  

1. Brianna’s face: It would be hard to miss this one; she’s so flippin’ stunning. Bri looks like she walked straight out of a magazine and just might be the most photogenic person I’ve ever met.
2. Phil’s face(s): he makes a lot of them. As a man of many expressions, it was hard to get this guy to be serious at times. He has a million dollar smile, but I wouldn’t trade his genuine reactions for anything. Peep the reception photos for the most accurate representation of him. 
3. The beach sunset photos: it’s pretty rare I get photograph couples on a beach at sunset on their wedding day. This was my freaking dream and the golden hour photos were to DIE for! 
4. Arbor at the Port decor: SUCH a unique space and I have never had the opportunity to photograph anywhere quite like it. Crossing my fingers I get to come back in the future, because it was so much fun and fit my photographic style perfectly! 
5. The genuine emotions: Just pure, unadulterated joy from start to finish. I will never forget the way Brianna danced around with a garbage plate in hand (iykyk), photobombed as many photo booth pictures as she could, and hugged every person possible.

It was pure joy being part of your favorite day ever. While I still cannot believe you trusted me with the documentation of every happy tear, it was my deepest honor to be the squeaky third wheel to every last moment. I will never find words to fully articulate how precious I think you all are! I hope you two have the most MAGICAL trip to Italy with your best friends on your double honeymoon! (If y’all are looking for a photographer to document that, too, I’ll gladly pack my bag right now and head out ASAP!) 😉 haha!
