Haley & Cole celebrated their spring wedding at the beautiful and historic Chautauqua Institution last weekend. After growing up spending her summers in Chautauqua, it was truly this bride’s DREAM to get married here one day. The Hall of Philosophy and Athenaeum Hotel were the perfect place to host all of Haley and Cole’s guests in celebration of their beautiful day!
I’ve decided to start a new tradition where I highlight some of my favorite parts of every wedding I’m part of, simply so I can look back and cherish each day for its individuality and intentional details.
So with that being said, these are a few (of MANY) things I ADORED about Haley & Cole’s wedding:
- A perfectly coordinated color scheme that vibed effortlessly with their entire venue. Haley is not a huge fan of color, but through the use of gorgeous bridesmaids gowns, textured/natural flowers from Wild Blossom Hollow, and subtle hints of pink/mauve tones… it was anything but ordinary and utterly stunning.
- Handwritten letters to each guest. This couple took the time to individually write each person in attendance a note, and I cannot think of anything more heartfelt and intentional than that!
- The family, bridal party, and vendors surrounding them were outrageously kind, hilarious, helpful, fun-loving, and downright wonderful. There aren’t enough words in the English language to describe how much I adore Cole, Haley, and all their people!
I feel as though I’ll practically be claiming part time residency at Chautauqua Institution this season between all the sessions and weddings I have scheduled, and I’ve got to say… I’m so stinkin’ happy about it. Over the years, I have met some of the most kind hearted couples and families through CHQ, and Haley and Cole are now included in that incredible group of humans!
HALEY & COLE–
Through the rain and shine, y’all stayed steady, calm, and collected, fully devoted to being present and enjoying every moment. I cannot wait for you to scroll this blog and relive your day over and over again. When I say I had the HARDEST time choosing favorite images, I really mean it. Honestly every single photo brought back a sweet memory of all the time we spent together. I’m getting teary just thinking about the fact you trusted me to be a part of it. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me so much love and grace, welcoming me with open arms into your circle of humans, and giving me a front row seat to all your most precious memories.
I truly couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to spend my first wedding back after maternity leave with! The biggest hugs to Haley & Cole’s family + friends, as well as their amazing vendor team:
