Nick and Katrina’s wedding day at Avanti Mansion in Buffalo, NY was held on a sunny (and very warm!) summer afternoon. Their elegant black and white affair was timeless and full of love; truly a perfect reflection of who this couple is to their core. From the emotional first look, to the tear-filled private vows, to the epic dance party full of family traditions…. every moment was filled with the most tangible and effervescent joy.
If you know this couple personally, you are already very aware of how wildly & unapologetically obsessed Nick and Katrina are with one another. I knew from the engagement session that this wedding was destined to be one for the books. At one point during their session, Katrina yelled to me from across the beach: “NICK JUST ADMITTED THAT HE’S HAVING FUN” (…totally putting her fiance on blast, because not only was he tolerating these photos, he was actually ENJOYING them!) The way they could laugh, joke, and create fun out of simply being together had me feeling GIDDY about their wedding as soon as I left the session.
My Favorite Moments From This Day
There were so many highlights from their wedding at Avanti Mansion, but a few truly unforgettable memories deserve their own spotlight:
1. The Best First Look (Like, Ever)…
Before they even laid eyes on each other, Nick and Katrina were already sobbing through their private vows. By the time they embraced, we were ALL absolute puddles. This first look was filled with the kind of raw emotion that my wedding photographer heart only dreams about. JUST SO FREAKING GOOD.
2. This Bride’s Pure Joy
All day long, Katrina kept saying, “OH MY GOSH. This is so fun!!!” She was the definition of radiant happiness. Truly, some people are just meant to be a bride, and Katrina wore that joy in every smile, every happy tear, and every dance move.
3. A Room Full of Love.
These two are surrounded by some of the best family and friends. One of the most surreal parts of the day for me, though? Looking around their reception and seeing countless past Hannah Bryerton Couples in attendance. I felt so honored to be part of not only this day, but SO many of the love stories of couples in attendance.

Nick & Katrina, thank you for trusting me to be your built in bestie on Friday. I couldn’t have asked for a more trusting, joyful, easygoing, amazing couple if I tried. I said it before, and I’ll say it again… my heart STILL hurts a little knowing we’ll never get to relive this day in real-life again. But goodness am I endlessly thankful we have these memories to hold onto forever.
