Nestled just outside Buffalo, NY, the Gathering Barn at Akron Acres was the quaintest, most beautiful venue for Anthony & Alicia’s joy-filled summer wedding. With perfect 75-degree weather, abundant sunshine, and not a single drop of rain in sight, it felt like all of heaven was rejoicing alongside us in this union!
This entire day radiated the Spirit of the Lord. From the heartfelt worship music, to the intentional moments of prayer, every part of Anthony & Alicia’s wedding was rooted in deep faith and overwhelming gratitude for God’s hand in their love story. These two actually met when they were the best man and maid of honor in their best friends’ weddings. (s/o to John + Mary… catch them in all the photos returning the favor of standing up with Alicia & Anthony, too!) Even after fourteen years spent witnessing SO many love stories, this one just felt extra special & sacred.
To top it off, this day marked a pretty surreal milestone in my wedding photography career. I had the immense honor of photographing all three Rensel siblings’ weddings: Kyle & Kaitlin in 2018, Lindsey & Jordan in 2021, and now Alicia & Anthony in 2025. The amount of joy and gratitude I feel for the Rensel family allowing me to be a part of their lives for over EIGHT years? I don’t even have words. I love them all so much it physically hurts (And you better fffffreakin’ believe we took a photo together just to commemorate the occasion; you can find that bad boy in the blog post, too!)
A few of my favorite things from Anthony & Alicia’s celebration at Akron Acres-
1. The Worship & Reverence
This couple was so intentional about making their day a reflection of their love for Christ and deep rooted faith. From beginning to end, every moment was filled with gratitude, worship, and the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit. Alicia and Anthony’s best friends even sang one of my favorite worship songs while the entire congregation took communion together.
2. Alicia’s Gift To Anthony
To make me feel extra weepy all over again, I can’t help but mention Alicia’s gift to Anthony. On the morning of their wedding, she gave Anthony a handwritten journal she started when they first met. Just pages and pages of their love story from her perspective that they’ll one day get to share with their children.
3. Endless Photo Opportunities at Akron Acres
As a photographer who loves dreamy light, willow trees, fields and diverse portraits… I can’t rave enough about the Akron Acres Wedding Venue. The property is massive and drenched in golden light– literally what all my photographer dreams are made of! Whether we were wandering through open fields or tucked near their charming buildings, there wasn’t a single corner of this place that didn’t create serious photo magic.

Thank you for picking me. Seriously, you could have hired ANY photographer in Western New York and you chose little old Hannah B. Capturing your love story was such a privilege, and celebrating alongside the entire family filled my heart to the point it just might burst. Your day was the perfect grand finale for celebrations in the Rensel fam, and I cannot wait to see where life takes you all from here!
