The most quintessential fall day in existence graced our weekend with perfect timing for Maddie & Joey’s wedding at Timber Haven Event Center! The stunning golf course at Cable Hollow served as the backdrop for their late afternoon ceremony, and abundant sunshine filled the glass-enclosed reception space from floor to ceiling for the entire afternoon. The Timber Haven’s outdoor patio, complete with propane heaters & fire pits, hosted a gelato bar & photobooth for guests to enjoy throughout the night. From vibrant fall foliage, to a perfectly clear forecast… we were dealt a juxtaposition of elements that truly resulted in the most beautiful celebration & some of my favorite fall wedding photos of all time!
It feels impossible to narrow down my favorite parts of this day, but here are a few things I’ll hold close to my heart each time I think about Maddie + Joey and the day we spent celebrating their love at Timber Haven:
- The Most Insane Food Spread
I don’t have the opportunity to gush over food very often (admittedly, a lot of weddings have really subpar meals that warrant a trip to Chick-fil-A on the way home) But this one??? Couldn’t be more opposite. We started off with grazing tables at cocktail hour that were a true work of art. Then Nonna’s meatballs and red sauce + artichoke stuffed chicken in the buffet. Followed by the endless spread of Italian cookies at the dessert table, alongside a cake the bride made HERSELF?!?! Top it off with the gelato bar? Someone pinch me. Hands down my biggest regret from this wedding was not taking more cookies home with me at the end of the night; ALL the food was out of this world!! - A Groom Dedicated to Train Duties
No one warned Joey that becoming a husband means you inherit the divine honor of carrying your wife’s wedding dress train 90% of the day, but this man was nothing but dedicated to his newly appointed task. I probably have 10 photos of him trailing behind Maddie with her ball gown safely lifted off the ground. (Chivalry is not dead, folks, and the evidence lies in the smile on his face in every last photo!) Not only was he a willing participant, this guy was serving his bride JOYFULLY. - Dancing with the Stars Lore
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know I am incredibly invested in Dancing with the Stars and have been since the show’s conception. Getting to hash out all the ‘lore with Maddie through those in-between moments was truly the perfect way to decompress and ground ourselves. hahaha! During their private vows, I photographed these two from afar as they stood in front of a beautiful willow tree… but during the one moment I was up a bit closer, I overheard Joey vow to always rub Maddie’s feet during DWTS on Tuesday nights. It single-handedly confirmed that there are, in fact, good men left in the world and true love surely exists.
Maddie & Joey–
Nothing feels more on brand than the fact I’m up late editing your images and preparing this blog as I simultaneously develop stomach ulcers watching the Bills game on television for Monday Night Football. (Sidebar: how kind of them to help celebrate your first week of marriage with an overtime win?? Let’s GOOOO!) Your celebration was such an incredible way to close out my 2026 wedding season; I don’t think we could have asked for more! Ok… maybe a few thousand less tiny bugs, but other than that??? Perfection! 😉 Forever grateful you gave me a front row seat to your current favorite day ever. Here’s to a lifetime of being the cool aunt & uncle, completing neverending house projects, joyfully choosing to stay at home on the couch, cheering tirelessly for the Buffalo Bills, and peacefully disagreeing on who should go home from DWTS each week.
[It’s Guillermo, Joey. Seriously. It’s time…]
Love you guys so much it hurts!
xoxo,
Hannah B
