I cannot wait for Shaun + Jillian’s big day, already! For this session, we ventured out to Ellicottville to capture their engagement portraits at the venue they will soon begin forever together. If you have never been to Ellicottville, you are definitely missing out. This little town is full of charm & tons to do. From ski resorts, to golf courses, to small shops & restaurants… this place is full of fun things to do, and amazing food to eat!

As we began shooting, I asked Shaun & Jillian to tell me a little bit about how they met. In college, Jill’s first impression of him was anything but love at first sight. It turns out both of them are incredibly competitive, and while playing basketball in intramurals, that side of Shaun shined pretty bright. Now after five years of dating, I think it’s safe to say they overcame that little obstacle and eventually started off on a better foot. (Although, I would probably pay good money to be a fly on the wall when they’re playing board games with their future children one day…)

Shaun + Jill, I had so much fun getting to know the two of you better and I cannot wait for June of next year! In a few short weeks, we will begin the official one year countdown to your day!
