Summer has taken a while to arrive here in Western New York, but this week it has shown up, full force. We kicked off Monday with the most beautiful evening capturing T & Tyler’s engagement session at Chautauqua Institution. It feels as though no matter how many times I visit this place, I always fall in love with the grounds. And now after a few years of capturing weddings here, I am finally getting familiar with its layout and remembering how to find all my favorite spots for portraits. The best part is, I always find a new location every time I go back, just to add to my arsenal. It’s the closest thing to Charleston I have here in WNY, so I definitely don’t take it for granted. I just love this place!

T & Tyler are also getting married on Chautauqua this fall. We started chatting about all the intricate details of their day and I was swooning over their vision. These two are MY kind of people: laid back, sweet and so stinkin’ hilarious. Not to mention they love them some Chick Fil-A. It’s safe to say we are practically a match made in heaven!

These two started off the night saying, “just so you know, we are really not photogenic at all.” It always cracks me up when couples say that because most of the time, it’s not even close to the truth. And as you’ll quickly see, this case was no different. T & Tyler had no problem adjusting to life in front of the camera. When their wedding day rolls around, this portrait stuff is going to be second nature for them.
