I'm Hannah B, wedding & portrait photographer based in New York State. I'm a lover of intricate details and story telling- both visually & through writing. Here you will find glimpses of my life as a photographer, wife, mama, dog-lover & Chick fil-A obsessed creative!
Justin & Miranda exchanged their vows (at warp speed) on Saturday afternoon at Oak Alley Farms in Garland, Pennsylvania. Thunder and thick dark clouds rolled in directly overhead, just as Miranda was walking down the aisle. It started to sprinkle right when they shared their first kiss, and we all ran inside before the skies completely opened up and poured heavy, relentless rain!!
So, if rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck, these two should be married for at least 500 years!! Despite the absolute chaos that inclement weather can sometimes cause, Miranda and Justin handled this small hiccup with poise and grace. These two trusted me to capture their family formals inside the barn, where it was dry and safe (free from lighting, torrential downpour, and even tornado warnings!) We headed out to take their portraits once the rain let up a little bit and I am SO thankful for clear umbrellas and rockstar brides, like Miranda, who trust this crazy photographer and her ability to make game-time decisions. The portraits turned out so freaking beautiful (as you will soon see) and I am SO happy that this sweet girl loves naturally-lit images just as much as I do!! Even in challenging circumstances, we made the sweetest lemonade out of some pretty darn sour lemons on this wedding day!
Love is a really strong word, but Miranda and I use it pretty openly to describe our feelings toward each other. We share a mutual weirdness and sense of humor that only a few can relate to. We love our blush pink bridesmaids dresses & cobalt blue groomsman suits. We will never turn down ice cream (ever) & share a firm belief that dogs just might be God’s greatest gift to earth. So, needless to say, although this season of wedding planning has come to a close, there is a 0% chance our friendship is ending with it.
Justin & Miranda- Thank you. For allowing Jesse & I to join your celebration. For giving us our very own seats at a guest table. For letting us eat all the cookies and cupcakes alongside you. For trusting the (sometimes crazy) photography process that takes place on a wedding day. For rolling with the punches and staying cool, calm, and collected all day. You two are beautiful people, both inside and out, and I’m so honored that I got to be part of documenting this amazing day. Sending all my love to Alaska and back as you enjoy your honeymoon as the Newly Freds! <3 XOXO
