Intimate Outdoor Wedding- Lauren & Michael Passinger

It can go without being said that this year has brought so many unexpected changes to all of our lives. My entire 2020 calendar has been rocked by this worldwide pandemic with wedding postponements, cancellations, and every thing else in between. But Lauren and Michael— these two held strong. From the very beginning, they said that June 6th was the day the Lord gave them, and they would be getting married no matter what that may look like.

I just got goosebumps all over again as I typed that. As much as I’d love to articulate what this day was like, I know I will never fully do it justice. What I can say is that the Lord showed UP this past weekend, and the presence of the Holy Spirit is indescribable. From the moment I arrived Saturday morning, I was a human marshmallow, because it was a perfect sunny and 70 degrees, with a beautiful breeze and incredible view in every direction you looked. Lauren was the most stunning bride; the kind of beautiful that makes your chest hurt a little bit when you look at her. She rocked the heck out of BOTH dresses she chose for their formal, intimate ceremony and then their backyard picnic celebration with family and friends afterward. And, I swear, Michael did not stop smiling the entire day. He is naturally the most laid-back, kind, funny, happy-go-lucky guy on the face of planet earth, but those traits definitely shined brighter than ever on their wedding day. These two are truly each other’s better half and their love was designed by God himself. I’m just so stupidly thankful to have played even the smallest part in their day. No matter how unconventional, how different than societal norms, or even the original plans they made for months prior to the coronavirus pandemic, it was downright perfect!

One last little story about Lauren & Michael: they both caught the bouquet and garter two years ago (almost to the day!) at a wedding I shot at this SAME EXACT venue. (Ps- We love you Meridon & Brad!!!) But seriously, who knew that I’d be the one lucky enough to document the first day of their forever, too?! I consider myself so blessed to call these humans my clients and friends. And I know this is just the start of something so incredible! So without further a do… here’s a small glimpse of it all.

Lauren & Michael- I just freaking love you guys! (In case I haven’t said that 10000 times already!) 😉 I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images; we’re only scratching the surface on all the beauty that is yet to come! Your friendship means more to me than words can say, and I love you for trusting me so deeply with every last detail of your day. xoxo
