My sweet friends, Matt & Christy, finally became husband and wife at their beautiful backyard wedding this past weekend! It was the best day full of sunshine, happy tears, and Taylor Swift vibes (from her gown, to the enchanted evening light, to screaming every last lyric of “Love Story” on the dance floor)… we truly could not have asked for a more perfect day! 

 

It’s not often you get a front row seat to every moment of your friend’s wedding. As a matter of fact, I dare say I see more behind-the-scenes than any other person (including the bride & groom!) hahaha! I woke up Saturday morning feeling absolutely GIDDY knowing it was going to be the best day ever for these two. I cried before Christy’s gown was even fully zipped. I cried during their handwritten vows. I cried laughing on the dance floor. And I even cried the morning after realizing it was all over. 

Matt & Christy– 

I am fully convinced that there is no other human on this planet that finds you two cuter than me, and I stand by it. Your love for each other is absolutely infectious and I have no doubt you will spend the rest of your lives trying to out serve one another. Y’all are hilarious, kind, and fiercely loyal; I still can’t believe I get to call you my friends! (Thank goodness for our friend Morgan & a mutual love for Taylor Swift. Now, you’re casually stuck with me forever!) There’s no one else I’d rather live a corn field away from. Here’s to a lifetime of dancing our hearts out in the backyard. I love you both so much it hurts! xoxo

It truly takes a village to throw a wedding in your backyard, and their village is a darn good one!
