Alex & Katie tied the knot at the Hotel at the Lafayette on a balmy New Years Eve weekend in Buffalo, NY! Just days prior, Western New York was hit with a history-making snowstorm that buried various areas of the city under multiple feet of snow. The travel ban that had been put in place was lifted less than 48 hours before their wedding, but I swear NOTHING could have stopped these two from becoming Mr. & Mrs. Grace!

I truly have a hard time finding the right words to describe just how much I love these humans, and I swear I would have followed them anywhere to document this day. We all joked that we’d do anything it took to make this wedding possible, but I’m just so thankful everything worked out perfectly on its own. There is no couple more deserving of it than these two! You know those people who are just magnetic? The ones you can’t help but feel REALLY freaking good around? The ones that personalities just radiate sunshine and make you want to be a better person? Yup, that’s Alex & Katie to a T.

 

Katie is absolutely effervescent. She’s basically the epitome of everything I aspire to be one day: laid back, ridiculously kind hearted, intentional, thoughtful, funny, bubbly, and doesn’t give one single heck what anyone thinks of her. She lives her life unapologetically, is joyful to a fault, and always strives to find the good in every situation. 

 

Alex has the gift of making everybody feel like they are a somebody. He’s a friend to everyone he meets and loves with everything he has. The way he looks at Katie will instantly make you believe in true love again. And every time he’d break down crying on the day of, I’d be crying behind my camera with him. To know Alex is to love him, but, believe it or not, he and Katie are only made better together! They truly are the perfect fit for one another.

Your wedding marks the end of an era; I cannot believe y’all are the final couple to get married in the friend group. I truly have been alongside you all for some of the most amazing days, and I can’t begin to articulate how thankful I am you both chose me to document this incredible season of life. It is an honor and privilege to call you my couple, but even more so, my friends. Here’s to the most incredible journey ahead… I can’t wait to see where life takes us from here. (Yes, us… y’all are definitely stuck with me now)
