Brad and Meridon finally said yes to forever at the stunning Grandview of Ellington in Western New York.  Believe me when I say that the name of this place doesn’t even BEGIN to do it justice. I’ve had inquiries in the past from couples getting married at this venue, but I’d always been booked elsewhere and unable to work with them. I was always so bummed. FINALLY, Brad and Meridon came along, and I am so glad they did. This day, June 16, 2018, was just about as perfect as it gets.

Brad & Meridon’s story could literally become a romance novel. These two were high school sweethearts, attended prom together, and shared an indescribable, head-over-heels type of love. During their senior year, they decided to break up when heading off to college. For YEARS they scoured the earth trying to find a love comparable to what they shared with each other. (Ok, maybe not the whole earth, but Meridon DID move all the way to Texas for awhile!) After moving back home, they decided to hang out again. Needless to say, these two picked up RIGHT where they left off.

It truly does not take long to realize that these two are still head-over-heels crazy about one another. They just may be the happiest bride and groom I’ve ever captured. In a crowd full of people, Brad and Meridon get absolutely lost in each other. My favorite part of their day was immediately following their ceremony. They walked back up the aisle and away from the ceremony location. Brad broke down into tears at the realization Meridon was his WIFE. And even after all their friends and family joined them… they continued to just be lost in one another. Their love just radiates and this day was a continuous celebration of their amazing story. If love is meant to be, it really does find a way.

M+B— I dare say I am almost as crazy about the two of you as you are about each other. I claim this all the time, but I truly luck out when it comes to working with the most amazing people on the planet. Your love is inspiring and I know you’re going to move mountains by each other’s side. Thank you for entrusting me with the responsibility of documenting this perfect day. I adore you and can’t wait to see where life takes you from here. XOXO

After the ceremony, we did our FIRST round of husband & wife portraits…

These two… such sweet friends of M+B! They each caught the garter & bouquet and I don’t think they could be ANY cuter if they tried!

And then the moments that followed… SO many of their lovely friends celebrated with them. I love these moments of tears and laughter spent with their favorite people!






I went outside to scout locations for golden hour portraits, only to find these two across the pond, soaking in the amazing view. I creepily snapped away as they danced and hugged and walked together. Dave and Samantha have been married almost a year and just by watching them, you can tell their love is as strong as the day they said I do! I hope my {soon-to-be} husband and I always take time to enjoy life’s simple moments & dance together… even when (we think) no one is watching. Just another couple I absolutely adored from Brad & Meridon’s bridal party!

Then, of course, I just HAD to take a few pictures of them, too!



They ran off together, back to the reception, the moment “Wobble” started playing. Seriously, was every couple at this wedding #relationshipgoals or what?…

And then… the sun finally came out & we wrapped up the night with THESE images. As we approached the field, the videographer said “The level of dedication I have for my job stops at the edge of this lawn. I’m not walkin’ in there!”

I looked at him and responded, “Oh really?! Ok! Well… mine doesn’t!” And off the three of us went, risking Lyme disease in the name of love & really amazing portraits.
& goodness, the risk was SO worth it…
